Each and every elected official should be made to go through a basic government training to include why the parties were created and how they should function, the type of government the US is founded on, how that differs from a democracy, and how they should fulfill their job duties based on those principles (ie you represent your people not yourself). I’m not convinced most officials even know or care to know the difference between a republic and a democracy and you can’t help run a country without knowing how it was designed to run without ending up where we are right now. Divided and too busy fighting like cats and dogs to do anything productive for the people. They should also be made to do this before officially being sworn in.
