If we reduce government by 80-90%, eliminate the corruption and fraud, use tariffs smartly, charge higher taxes on foreign ownership of any US property (actually consider only allowing leases for foreigners), restructure or eliminate lobbying, quit giving money to other countries who hate us, the need for income tax could be eliminated - that should be our goal.
If a government program isn’t adding measurable value it should not exist. Let’s get back to our founding documents. Tax on Americans should be our last resort for funding anything beyond defense.
