It’s not easily known what we, the people, can do to legally hold elected leaders accountable.
There should be something available and taught for us, the people, to be able to keep the government, local and federal, in check.

I’m curious exactly what you mean. Elections provide a degree of accountability: One of my hobbies is discussing election systems, so I’ll easily slip into that conversation. I would love to discuss Approval voting, proportional representation, ballot access, third parties, etc. However I understand if you feel we need something else outside elections.
Some other worthwhile ideas to explore:
Related to recall elections:
A concept I’ve developed for electing representatives involves voting for an intermediate group of delegates, who then group up at a state-wide general legislative convention to actually elect the representatives. This could be extended so the delegates maintain legal standing between elections, and have a process to remove and replace representatives who violate their trust. This is both more efficient than holding a recall election, and directly challenges the corrupting influence of special interest lobbyists.
If it’s not widely known, then people need to take responsibility. The idea that the general population should be entitled to training on how to use the power they already have doesn’t make sense. This seems more like an issue of complacency; if people aren’t willing to act, then maybe they aren’t prepared for freedom.
Yes, i believe people like Adam Schiff, should be held accountable for standing up in the house lying to the American people with a 100% fabrication. He should be thrown in jail for that.
Most definitely. And when people are held accountable they will think twice before doing something like that. We need this.
I’m talking about being able to hold people accountable who have already been elected. Like for example, as someone has mentioned in these comments, Adam Shiff lying to us all.
Biden allowing Chinese spy balloons fly accross our country for a week. Palosi ripping up the state of the union in defiance.
Theres a lot of corruption in our government and if we don’t do anything about it nothing will ever change.
We, the people, should be able to hold elected officials accountable. Legally, peacefully, and easily.
It’s not easily known what we can do. Other than protesting and boycotting.
There needs to be something in place that shows what we can do to hold elected officials accountable.
It should be taught to us? By whom, exactly—the very officials who need to be held accountable? That doesn’t make sense as a government policy. In the private sector, maybe—but not by the government. If someone in a community wants to take the lead, plenty of people have valuable knowledge they could share. Those who are interested can either pay to learn from them or invest time researching and educating themselves.
This might help…
What I mean is that, from what I understand, we only think of holding officials accountable by not voting for them when it’s time for a reelction.
And of course protesting. Gathering outside somewhere with signs and shouting in a bull horn.
Neither of those options really do anything, unless of course theres A LOT of people protesting.
There doesnt seem to be any other way to hold officials accountable.
For example, Katy Hobbs. Lets ASSUME she did steal the election a couple years ago in Arizona. Her and the other lady, I forgot her name, did go to court. There were some kind of investigations. Now, lets ASSUME, the majority of people believe she did steal the election because of compelling evidence that is not being regarded due to judges being in on the steal. What can the people do? Have a protest? That isnt going to do much from what we see from recent protests.
Should we wait a few years to really hold her accountable when it’s time for reelection? Thats dumb.
What else can we do? Legally.
The point and question im asking is how?
How do we take responsibility? Legally. Protest? That’s it? Well, it doesnt do much to those who dont care and twist things around for their sake. Like not revealing all of the footage in the Jan6th situation. Or all the evidence with why rooms are covered up while ballots are being counted.
How do we take responsibility? A government whos for the people would education their citizens on how to take responsibility. They would encourage the people to take responsibility. Where do you see that from our government?
“…sufficiently educated…”
Right. What i’m bringing up is for that. Where is the education?
Recently the department of education was dismantled. MAYBE a state would bring back civics, but regardless. Where is the education? Where are us, the people, asking for it? We need it.
No kidding.
Where is it? Not only is it not commonly known, but where are the people asking for this knowledge? How can we hold officials accountable?
Theres a lack of it and I’m bringing it up.
