Drilling wells 20 miles deep at every conventional steam-driven power station can produce free steam to produce 10x cheaper electricity and requires 100x times less capital investment compared to wind and solar. Drilling deep isn’t impossible, you just can’t rely on drillers who really don’t want to eliminate oil and gas drilling. Literally, within a decade, every single coal, nuclear, and gas powered electricity station could be powered with essentially free green steam just by drilling that first deep well showing how such a well CAN be drilled for relatively low cost. It really only requires using floating drill pipe.
This sounds interesting and would agree with the government doing more research on this project.
try it, but only in the wilderness, please.
my city tried it once - in the middle of the city, the idiots - and managed to cause an earthquake.
which gave them at least enough of good sense to stop before burning down the whole ctiy.
