Unused food in groceries be donated to food insecure people/ homeless/ churches

Almost expired food is nearly always still good a few days past the due date. The country throws away so much food. We should have fruit bearing trees in cities, we should have an abundance of food programs- open to any and everyone- essentially a large scale community food bank

“FreshStart Nourishment Network” Objective: To establish a national initiative aimed at reducing food waste, enhancing food security, and promoting sustainable community and corporate partnerships through the distribution of near-expired but still safe food products, primarily sourced from corporate donations. Both of these proposals cover the need for food waste to be regulated in America to benefit society.
