Receiving a college education is expensive. Now days if you want an education, you have to become so far in debt, it’s hard to climb your way out. College is not always the best option for everyone, but many careers require it. I believe having your generals be free would greatly benefit individuals, and incentivize people to receive a degree. Having a complete tuition covered would cause many issues and over saturate career fields, but covering general education (especially online so little resources are needed) would help student debt, make it so less is being borrowed, and there would be a higher rate of pay off in less time. We should only have to pay for the courses direct towards our degree and career pathways. I hate that I will be close to 60k in debt and 1/3 of it will be from courses like cinematography that have nothing to do with my career. Education, and future betterment should be more accessible.
