Fix the Media - Repeal the Telecommunications Act of 1996

Repeal the Telecommunications Act of 1996 and STOP using propaganda against US citizens.

The act, signed into law on February 8, 1996, was essentially bought and paid for by corporate media lobbies and radically opened the floodgates on mergers.

The negative impact of the law cannot be overstated.

The act allowed giant corporations to buy up thousands of media outlets across the country, increasing their monopoly on the flow of information in the United States and worldwide.

Additionally, STOP using propaganda against US citizens.

Take the FREE broadcast licenses away from the main stream media outlets and de-fund public media (PBS, etc). They no longer serve the public good, but are propaganda for leftist organizations. Sell broadcast licenses to media outlets who have to adhere to strict journalism rules - what they broadcast has to be true, not cut and censored hit pieces.
