Fine and Incarcerate any Employers Who Hire Illegal Aliens

This will save billions on deportation of illegal aliens. By making sure that no illegal aliens are able to work in the United States, unless they have a current Employment Authorization Document, it will decrease the cost of deporting illegal aliens as they will self deport if they unable to work legally in the U.S. In order to accomplish this employers must use E-Verify to to make sure their employees can legally work in the United States. Employers who hire illegal aliens should be harshly fined and incarcerated.

We already have this in my state (&others) with “e-verify.”

There is a loophole in the program though, in that companies & even municipalities can outsource jobs to firms with illegals working under the table. So they are compliant with e-verify technically; it is the contractor or subcontractor that isn’t.

This van be remedied easily by extending the terms of e-verify to everyone doing work for them, whether an employee or independent contractor.

I believe I read recently that e-verify does not work properly. It must not. When I filed unemployment recently, four companies I have never worked for were reporting wages for “me”- but under another name.

I am a victim of identity theft.

E-Verify is an Internet-based system that compares information entered by an employer from an employee’s Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification, to records available to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Social Security Administration to confirm employment eligibility. It makes sure you are a legal citizen.
