Federal Regulations for National Elections

Presidential and Congressional elections should be regulated at the national level.

For these elections, all states should require legally recognized photo ID and nationality recognized proof of citizenship in order to vote in such elections.

For these elections, there should also be nationally standardized timeframes for acceptance of absentee ballots, mail-in ballots and voter registration. (Provisional ballots should be discontinued.)

For these elections, there should be nationally standardized methods of ballot casting, counting and auditing.

States should continue to regulate those elections affecting their own citizens. Elections that affect ALL American citizens should be standardized and regulated at the national level.
