Federal Justice Reform Policy

Policy Overview

The federal government is committed to implementing meaningful justice reform aimed at enhancing the integrity and accountability of the criminal justice system. This policy establishes guidelines concerning the responsibilities of individuals serving on parole boards or granting clemency, specifically addressing their liability for future crimes committed by individuals they release, grant clemency to, or pardon.

Objectives

  1. Enhance Accountability: Ensure that members of parole boards and clemency decision-makers are held accountable for their decisions and the potential consequences of those decisions.

  2. Promote Public Safety: Encourage careful consideration of the risks associated with releasing individuals from incarceration, thereby enhancing community safety.

  3. Foster Transparency: Create a transparent process in which the rationale for parole and clemency decisions is documented and made accessible to the public.

Policy Details

Liability Framework

  • Personal Liability: Individuals serving on federal parole boards or granted authority to approve clemency or pardons shall be held personally liable for any future crimes committed by individuals they release, grant clemency to, or pardon. This liability will extend to criminal, civil and financial repercussions. If the person released commits a crime after release, clemency, or pardon the individual involved in approving the release are also considered criminally liable as accessories to the crime.

  • Financial Liability: In the event of a future crime committed by a released individual, the board member or clemency official may be subject to financial penalties, including restitution to victims or their families, in accordance with applicable laws.

Decision-Making Process

  • Risk Assessment: Prior to making decisions on parole, clemency, or pardons, board members must conduct thorough risk assessments that evaluate the individual’s history, behavior while incarcerated, and potential for reoffending.

  • Documentation: All decisions must be accompanied by a detailed written rationale, outlining the considerations that influenced the decision, including risk assessments and any mitigating factors.

Training and Standards

  • Mandatory Training: Members of parole boards and clemency officials must undergo mandatory training on the implications of their decisions, including the potential consequences of releasing individuals into the community.

  • Performance Standards: The performance of board members shall be evaluated based on the outcomes of their decisions, including rates of recidivism and community feedback regarding public safety.

Reporting and Oversight

  • Regular Reporting: Parole boards must submit regular reports to the appropriate federal oversight bodies detailing their decisions, the rationale behind those decisions, and any subsequent incidents involving released individuals.

  • Independent Review: An independent body shall be established to review decisions made by parole boards and clemency officials, ensuring adherence to this policy and evaluating the impact of those decisions on community safety.

Implementation

This policy will be enacted immediately, with a phased implementation plan to ensure that all current board members and clemency officials are trained and informed of their responsibilities under this policy. Feedback mechanisms will be established to assess the effectiveness and impact of these measures.

Conclusion

This Justice Reform Policy is designed to enhance accountability and transparency within the criminal justice system. By holding parole board members and clemency officials liable for their decisions, we aim to promote a more responsible approach to parole and clemency, ultimately ensuring greater public safety and trust in the justice system.

They’re doing everything they can to tie Trumps hands before the ship goes down. Shadow govt?? The NC Dem rep said it out loud. Literally said we need to put up blockades to stop Trump policies. States are refusing to cooperate with the mass deportations. Putting unconstitutional policies in place that can’t be constitutionally amended. I don’t care if we do things unconstitutional to begin with! Just start arresting and cleaning out the evil ba$tards! We want justice and we aren’t going to get it unless we fight by their rules! The constitution isn’t going to be effective until the trash is gone anyway! Erase them to the point where they have absolutely NO influence. And, Definitely no retirement saleries for them after they’re gone!

I’m really hoping that someone is actually getting these requests to the proper people who can do something about them.
