I believe the govt should pay farmers to directly supply fruit, veggies, dairy, honey, meats, etc to their school districts. Not only would this financial benefit farmers of all types, we would know that the products that children would be consuming are (hopefully) fresh, have less pesticides, and have more nutritional value. Even if these products are distributed nationally frozen, we would know that they were raised, grown, processed, and shipped from the US, not China or any other country with lower standards.
