Creating policies where farmers are provided incentives to create local produces year round with greenhouses and schools to pay farmers directly for fresh fruits and vegetables on a weekly basis instead of food suppliers for canned food. School cooks to create and meal plan based on produce availabilty for that week. For inner city schools, government acquisition of abandoned buildings or buyouts and offices created to oversee the buildings cleanup or tear down, and create living gardens to provide city schools with just as much healthy and fresh produce as rural schools.

Good thought but needs to be less complex imo. I agree the gov’t needs to facilitate development of high quality food for distribution to meet a variety of needs. I am in favor of “salaried farmers” where they have no costs, profits or losses but the gov’t owns the product. Remember schools are a function of the state.
