The police use to be the ones that saved children from abusive situations, but an entity named child protective services started to become available in helping police find abuse of children and rescue them. When this entity came about in our country, we started seeing more children being removed from parents for more reasons than just abuse. We started hearing the word neglect thrown around a lot and neglect is often used vaguely in CPS cases. CPS only stays operating according to what funding it can get from federal resources. The less cases they have the less funding they receive. CPS does not train its caseworkers on how to properly acknowledge abuse and severe neglect. They do not follow their own policies right now in North Carolina. The hurricane Helene victims are having their children removed one by one and these children are not being placed with relatives like these these families are requesting. They are being placed in foster care and an institutions because that is beneficial to the state. Letters have been sent to DHHS Director Paul Polinski, Governor Roy Cooper, and attorney general Josh Stein , No one has shown any remorse for what is happening to these victims and children continue to be taken. children suffer, and so do parents when they are separated against their will. This is called maternal bond severance, and it can cause severe damage to the mental health of everyone involved. The majority of why we have so many people in prison, so many people on drugs, and so many people having mental health issues is because majority of them were either in foster care or adopted or wrongfully removed from their parents and family, and placed in abusive situations. my son Joseph was wrongfully removed from me as a result of a fraudulent termination of parental rights that happened to me with my son Joshua. The state of Tennessee couldn’t find a reason to take my parental rights away so they created one. They withheld My Son from visits for four consecutive months. This is abandonment in the state of Tennessee, and the state of Tennessee has a law that states they will terminate your parental rights if you don’t see your children for more than four months. Even my attorney was in on it. Brian Jay Hunt from Hunt and Hunt law firm located in Anderson County Tennessee is now the juvenile court judge of Anderson county Tennessee Tennessee. My younger son was wrongfully removed from me after they terminated my rights and he even spoke to the judge and said he did not want to be adopted. They adopted him out anyway to two women who would later confess to my husband and I that they lied on their foster care application because they had a history of drug addiction to speed. This is so criminal and it is happening every day. These women fraudulently obtained funding on behalf of, not just My Child but three other children. And the three oldest children, including mine have all had to turn 18 in the system because they were kicked out of the house at the ages of 16 and 17 due to drug addiction and criminal behavior. None of that behavior would’ve happened if my son would have remained with me because he would’ve had fulfillment, mothering from his real mother, and he would have never had to wonder what happened. Please help me save America and its families and their future families by abolishing CPS And reforming the police department to use their detective skills to train other officers how to recognize abuse and neglect. Let’s stop the funding that is being fed on the daily basis to these entities that are not even using their resources correctly to help family stay together.
Here’s my vision::
The Family Protection and Civil Rights Act
Purpose:
To ensure that the investigation of child abuse and neglect is conducted with integrity, transparency, and accountability while safeguarding the constitutional rights of families and preventing unnecessary government interference.
Policy Objectives:
1. Abolish Child Protective Services (CPS):
• Transfer the responsibility of investigating child abuse and neglect cases to law enforcement agencies to eliminate redundancy and minimize overreach.
• Repurpose funding previously allocated to CPS to support specialized family protection units within police departments and community-based family support services.
2. Establishment of Family Protection Units:
• Create a specialized division within police departments, consisting of detectives and trained officers dedicated to investigating child abuse and neglect cases.
• Develop a robust training program in collaboration with psychologists, social workers, and legal experts to educate officers on:
• Identifying signs of abuse and neglect.
• Evaluating the credibility of claims.
• Respecting the civil rights of parents, children, and families.
3. Oversight and Accountability:
• Establish an independent oversight committee, comprising legal experts, child welfare advocates, and community representatives, to monitor the conduct of family protection units.
• Implement strict protocols for reporting, handling, and documenting investigations to ensure transparency.
• Mandate regular audits of family protection units to detect and deter corruption or misuse of authority.
4. Parental and Child Rights Protections:
• Prohibit the removal of children from their families without concrete evidence of immediate danger.
• Ensure parents have the right to due process, including access to legal representation, before any court-mandated separation.
• Safeguard the privacy of families under investigation and prevent unnecessary disclosure of information.
5. Community Support and Prevention Services:
• Invest in programs that strengthen families and prevent abuse, including parenting education, mental health support, and financial assistance.
• Foster partnerships with community organizations to provide resources and intervention services outside of a punitive framework.
6. Public Awareness and Education:
• Launch a public education campaign to raise awareness about the signs of abuse and the avenues available for reporting suspected cases.
• Promote community involvement in child welfare to encourage proactive rather than reactive approaches.
-
Reunification of Families in Cases of Wrongful Removal:
• Mandatory Review of Past Cases:
• Establish a task force within the oversight committee to review past child removal cases.
• Prioritize cases where no evidence of abuse or neglect was found, or where evidence of corruption or misconduct by government agencies has been uncovered.
• Immediate Reunification:
• Require the prompt return of children to their families when it is determined that the removal was unjustified or based on false or insufficient evidence.
• Restoration of Parental Rights:
• Expedite the restoration of parental rights and custody in cases where parents were wrongfully separated from their children.
• Compensation and Support for Families:
• Provide financial compensation, counseling, and other resources to families impacted by wrongful removals to help rebuild and heal from the trauma.
• Criminal Accountability for Corruption:
• Prosecute individuals or organizations found to have engaged in corrupt practices that led to the wrongful removal of children.
Implementation Plan:
1. Transition Period:
• Over a 2-year period, gradually phase out CPS while training and staffing family protection units within law enforcement.
2. Training and Certification:
• Require all officers in the family protection unit to undergo extensive training and obtain certifications in child welfare and civil rights law.
3. Data Transparency and Reporting:
• Publish annual reports on the activities of family protection units, including the number of cases handled, outcomes, and any identified misconduct.
4. Legal Safeguards:
• Strengthen legal protections for families by reviewing and amending state and federal laws to align with the objectives of this policy.
This policy aims to balance the need for protecting children with the constitutional rights of families, ensuring that government agencies act with fairness, transparency, and respect for civil liberties.
It’s not listed, but I also would like to come up with a policy that forbids the giving of bonuses and incentives to separate families. There needs to be bonuses and incentives for keeping families together and we have special bonuses for certain adoptions if they happen. Foster parents do not need to render any bonuses for departments. We need to stop all of this because it’s leading everybody in the wrong direction. These these incentives and bonuses were created to separate families not keep them together anybody with two brain cells to rub together can see that.
