Make it a crime to falsely accuse another individual of sexual assault or rape punishable in equal measure to the severity of the false claim.

I would like to propose a policy that imposes stricter penalties for individuals who falsely accuse someone of sexual assault. In cases where a man is wrongfully convicted and imprisoned due to a false accusation, the person making the false claim should face a prison sentence that is double the amount of time the wrongly accused person served. For example, if a man is wrongfully imprisoned for 10 years, the individual who made the false accusation should serve 20 years in prison.
This policy would help deter false accusations, protect the integrity of legal processes, and ensure that justice is served both for the wrongfully accused and for the individual who knowingly misleads authorities.
