“Every 100 pages of a House bill requires one full day of review time before a vote, so a 200-page bill would need two days, with a maximum review period of 10 days for bills exceeding 1,000 pages. This ensures lawmakers have sufficient time to analyze legislation, likely encouraging shorter, single-issue bills for clarity and focus. Emergency bills, as defined by strict criteria, could be exempt to allow swift action when needed.”

Definitely a good thought, though I’m not sure it would help. They have people to read through these things, and they could just vote no if something is being rushed on purpose.
I think it lets them use the excuse of “I didn’t know that was in there” if they get called out for voting for something nasty. Pretty sure they always know though. And if they didn’t they are incompetent and should be removed.

THERE SHOULD NEVER BE 1000 PAGE BILLS BEING VOTED ON.
That is how the swamp has corrupted our system and we are broke.
That is how legislation NOT wanted by the citizens of the US (ie their boss) get enacted without proper review.
