After the fall of the Berlin Wall, the German government created the Stasi Records Agency (a.k.a. the BStU) to allow German citizens to review their own secret police “file” in a timely, comprehensive manner.
The Stasi spied on and kept meticulous records of the private lives of their own citizens – and yet their data collection pales in comparison to the capabilities of the Federal Government & its Silicon Valley partners.
The President of the United States has openly declared that his political opponents are domestic terrorists. This is an extremely alarming state of affairs. We desperately need our own version of the BStU here and now.
