Environment and Conservation

I’m excited by the prospect of common sense being applied to our government by the incoming administration! The time is now!!!

I would love to see a concerted effort to incorporate that same approach on environmental and conservation issues as well. In my opinion taking care of our environment ties together many of the most important issues of the day, including but not limited to immigration, energy, health, and the economy! We need to demand that research and applied science be designed realistically, reported clearly and transparently (publish both good and bad results), and resulting laws and regulations reflect real world considerations. It is imperative that we restore confidence in science’s role in developing policy. Surely the covid debacle has taught us that if nothing else! Policies should not be decided by endless legal actions and lobbyist driven legislation that enriches no one but lawyers, bureaucrats, and politicians while accomplishing little.

Immigration must be controlled and government and our economy weaned off of the idea that endless population growth is necessary and inevitable. The environmental costs of uncontrolled population growth are destroying OUR habitat as well as that of numerous other native species.

Energy is perhaps the most important component of any advancing society and can be produced and used conscientiously while minimizing environmental impacts. We can do this better here in the US with a vibrant economy and by applying common sense to our energy policy. World affairs are also positively affected by producing our own energy responsibly.

Probably nothing can more positively improve US health outcomes than having a cleaner, more robust environment that encourages people to get outside and enjoy the stress relieving benefits of wildlife and wild places!

America has a wealth of natural resources. And the experience and talent to develop business and policies that support an economy capable of advancing society if we are not forced to compete globally with competitors that do not share a sustainable, common-sense approach to progress.

MAKE AMERICA’s ENVIRONMENT GREAT AGAIN!!!
