We have the right to know precisely what is in the foods we consume. However, current labeling regulations allow for vague terms like “natural flavors” and “spices,” which can hide the presence of additives, allergens, or substances that we may wish to avoid for health or other reasons.
I recommend that the FDA:
Require all food manufacturers to explicitly list every ingredient and chemical used in their products on the label, without exception.
Eliminate collective terms such as “spices” or “artificial flavors.”
Eliminate Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) loopholes.
Standardize ingredient names and prohibit the use of uncommon alternative names for ingredients that may mislead consumers.
Remove all Chemicals and fillers and make all the food natural, No GMO’s and no vaccines in our Animals or in the produce. Promote natural farms and give funding to people who want to do it even at the personal level.
