The 1954 Communist Control Act is still on the books in the U.S., making it illegal to be a member of a communist organization. This law should be enforced to systematically dismantle far-leftist organizations such as Antifa and BLM whose stated goals include “smashing” capitalism and ushering in a new collectivist society in the United States. There needs to be a serious crackdown on communism and radical leftism in this country in order for us to survive.

This law would immediately be smacked down by any judge that supports the right to free speech, this is a law that could only exist during the red scare
Edit: not that I have any support for the Marxists trying to destroy our country but it must be beaten in debate, that is the only real way to kill an idea

Considering it has been codified in law since 1954, and then 10 years later, the Florida congressmen read into the Florida official record, the communist manifesto, it has not been challenged. We have people in the USA right now who are open communists, we need prosecutors to apply said law to our elected members. It is not free speech to practice treason against your country.

Most of these people pushing wokeness aren’t commies but capitalists. Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg wouldn’t support Marxism because it wants their head on the guillotine.
I don’t know if that specific law would stand up to the Constitution if challenged today, and perhaps rightly so. I don’t know the law enough to know for sure. That said, communism is the enemy of the Constitution. Communism and the Constitution cannot coexist. While the Constitution in theory should already prohibit communism, it obviously isn’t stopping them. Whether it’s this law, or a new one, I support law which directly goes after prohibiting communistic official actions in this country.
