I flew internationally and when i returned I did not recognize America. The illegal searches made me feel like I was going to Prison. its time for TSA in airports to go since they have failed America.
- Unconstitutional Practices
- Warrantless searches, invasive pat-downs, and body scans violate privacy and bodily autonomy.
- Courts have granted TSA broad leeway under the guise of “administrative searches,” eroding civil liberties.
- Ineffectiveness
- Multiple government reports (including from the DHS Inspector General) have shown TSA agents fail to detect banned items in up to 95% of internal tests.
- Billions spent with little proven impact on stopping terrorism.
- Security Theater
- The TSA provides a false sense of safety through visible but largely ineffective procedures.
- Real threats are more likely to be thwarted by intelligence, not pat-downs or liquid bans.
- Mission Creep
- TSA’s reach has extended beyond airports (e.g., train stations, highway checkpoints), increasing federal overreach.
- Harms to Liberty and Dignity
- Frequent reports of abuse, harassment, and trauma, especially among vulnerable populations (e.g., disabled, elderly, children).
- Creates a culture of compliance and fear instead of freedom and due process.
