Retirement pensions should be tax exempt. Many times, retirement pensions are part of a retiree’s fixed income which many times does not grow with the yearly inflation rate.

This a wonderful proposal! I have been retired for 18 years and never received a cost of living adjustment. It is becoming increasingly difficult to avoid dipping into savings to cover living expenses. I’m very thankful to have some savings to fall back on!

People in retirement can’t get a promotion, with a rise in pay, or a bonus like is often given in the civilian job market. Prices rise, though, putting retired persons at a distinct disadvantage, financially. Stopping the taxing of their retirement in come would help a lot.

I totally agree with this, any social security or retirement pension should NOT be taxed.

I totally agree with the argument for making retired people tax-exempt including property tax. Seniors have contributed to society through taxes during their working lives.

We’ve paid taxes all our lives. This money was supposed to put aside by our government for our retirement years. Instead of investing it or using it to m as ke more money for us, they used it for other things. No tax is just a small part of what the government can do for us. I think its time for the government to pony up and take better care of those who helped this country, economy and every day lives run more smoothly.
