Currently there are 4 companies that supply the majority of seeds to farmers. Those seeds will in turn produce crops like Corn, Barley, Potatoes, and others. The seeds provided can be generationally tracked, its currently illegal for a farmer to harvest the seeds from the crops they grew with those seeds, and plant them the next season. By allowing farmer’s to do this, it will reduce the cost of food as they will have as large of an overhead.
