A baby born to a woman in the US who is not a US citizen, should not be given automatic US citizenship. Additionally, EMTALA should end as well. EMTALA is clearly a motivating factor which brings pregnant woman across the boarder to deliver her baby for free, paid for by US tax payers and is contributing to hospitals going out of business.

Note, if you are a child of a US soldier born outside of the USA while they are deployed, the child is a US citizen and not a citizen of the country they were born in. So, we need the same here. No anchor babies.

To add to this, no citizenship for foreign babies born to US surrogates. I am a labor and delivery nurse and we see a large porportion of US citizens being surrogates to chinese “couples”. The “intended parents” never show up, they stay in china, then the babies are taken by a “power of attorney” who takes them until their birth certificates and passports come in, then they fly a plane of babies back to china. My guess is to grow up under whatever training the chinese government wants and then get sent back as adult US citizens to carry out the chinese agenda, but as US citizens. We often see surrogates to male same sex european couples where surrogacy is illegal, but they always show up for the birth, and interact with the surrogate and nursing staff, but never the chinese, makes you think…what is the chinese government up to…
