I call for the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate to put forth and pass a bill to defund and permanently put out of business the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Since the 9/11 attacks, the TSA has become the Deep State’s apparatus to harass and violate the personal and bodily privacy of Americans during travel in American airports. Also, studies have shown that the TSA has failed to catch any dangerous items inside passenger carry-on bags. Worse, the TSA’s surliness has left a bad impression in foreign travelers who visit America for business or leisure. Essentially, experience with the TSA is akin to what prisoners have experienced at Nazi concentration camps. American and foreign travelers deserve the royal treatment at airport security checkpoints instead of being treated as criminals with harassment and intimidation. I call on Congress to create and pass a law that abolishes the TSA and permanently precludes its return by requiring American airports to hire private airport security contractors to operate the security checkpoints instead. Each contractor will have to go through a competitive process to win the bid to operate those checkpoints. After a five-year contract, the contractor is then subject to a performance review based on passenger feedback. Poor performance will then lead to a new competitive bid for a new contractor. That way, airline travelers from America and overseas can receive polite and professional service from these contractors, and keep air travel safe. Also, let’s permanently do away with the shoe removal and high volume liquids disposal policy prior to entering the secure zone in airports. Make American Air Travel Stress-Free Again!
