Eliminate the limit on votes for this website

Eliminate the limit on votes for this website. There are too many good ideas to not be able to vote on all of them.

So i can not even find the rules for voting on the website. Do you know where this information is displayed? Ty

Maybe also add down-votes? But that might encourage trolls, unless an explanation for the down-vote is provided that is on-point and not ad hominem. That could help refine the idea and improve it. You are right, there are a lot of excellent ideas to vote for. I wish I had the time to look at all of them!

I can see per day but every day there will be more good ones. Too hard to pick just a few. It would too lopsided and a lot more votes for ones we like.

I must respectfully disagree here. There are millions of Americans who care about many things. We need to tell everyone to “pick the top 20 most important topics to you, not necessarily in any order, and if it gets enough attention we will see it”

Unlimited votes depletes efficiency.

That will encourage bots to spam votes.

Yes. We need a down vote option so the people are heard properly.

I cannot find the rules for voting either. I have been on here for a few days and it says i have 4 votes left. I voted about a dozen times.

I disagree. A lot of these topics are important to me. Limiting the vote limits the people from expressing other issues that might be important to them as well. Plus, unlimited votes would give the people an idea of how many people agree with them and would give us all one voice.

I could not find it either.

Do the votes recharge? I started with 20 and got another 20 at some point.

I agree with limiting the votes so people have to use some discretion with what’s important to them, but there should be a way to earn more votes or get more over time. Maybe there already is, I’d love to know.

Edited to add: the vote policy isn’t part of the advanced tutorial, either. Turns out you can embed polls in comments, maybe that could be a workaround.

Should vote policy be stated someplace obvious on this website?

you can still give unlimited likes to posts, which will certainly be considered, too.

a restriction on votes makes sure that you don’t give them to any good idea, but only to the really good ideas.

this seems a sensible system to me.
