Eliminate offset for combat medical retirees from the military (Major Richard Star Act)

There is current bills in both the house and the Senate that have over majority cosponsorship that is written to eliminate the offset of a medical retiree from the military that has combat related injuries and was forced to retire before making their 20 years. The bill was named after major Richard Starr and the name of the Bill is the major Richard star act

Financial distress is the number one cause for people who have depression and suicidal ideation, and in the veteran community that is extremely magnified, and if the veterans suicide rate wants to be addressed and significantly reduced than veterans need to be paid what they have earned and what they are owed Concurrent receipt that happened a few years ago was the first step in this process, and then the system has lagged and installed. The next step is to ensure that combat related medical retirees from the military no longer have to be forced to forfeit any of their military pension paycheck because the military separated them And forced them to leave before they could achieve the 20 year mark
