Election Day should be a National Holiday

Election day should be treated the same as Labor Day and Memorial Day. It should be treated as an important holiday. Americans should have the time out of their busy lives to exercise their power and vote. Many Americans don’t vote because of their busy work and life schedules. This new policy would put more power back to the people so their voice is heard. This issue, of course, gets sticky with hospital workers and our emergency response workers, Active duty military, etc. There needs to be a greater national importance placed on election day.
