This is needed because State level organizations are just as corrupt as the Federal bureaucracies and organizations.
I think what’s been happening in California has underlined that point quite clearly. Although if you’ve been following the story of Tiffany Henyard and Dolton Illinois the point of how corrupt things are would be hammered home a lot sooner.
California is likely a red state, but they keep the democrat spell going precisely through these frauds, and not using voter ID. The surrounding states should wage a civil war and annex california… why should any state recieve federal benefits of the union, while intentionally fucking up every single election, and the very lives of it’s citizens. Californians are too tolerant of corruption, which clearly has a stupifying effect.
While this sounds like a great idea, remember DOGE is not being paid to do this. Elon offered to do it for nothing for approx. 18 months if I remember correctly. Who knows, maybe DOGE can run a report to highlight wasteful spending in each state should it be accessible. That could be used to pull back on fed $ to force better spending compliance…
Agreed! This is the logical next step. It will do no good to remove federal level corruption and leave state/county/city governments free to continue their corruption on the American People.
Personally, I would love to see a county-level investigation into county officials who might be receiving illicit funds and kickbacks related to property tax revenue based on FAKE unrealized values that have been reported by county tax assessors as going up every year. This property tax extortion racket needs to be investigated and those responsible for exacerbating the annual confiscation of propery owner wealth should face criminal charges and have their personal assets confiscated for state-wide redistribution of reparations back to property owners. My two cents.
That’s such a great idea. Make State National DOGE leagues. Pro Teams at national, state, and county levels. Exposing fraud, redundancies, inefficiencies, waste. Days of grifting are over!
When cutting government waste, always a great idea, motive matters. Will the savings be used to improve needed help for those who actually need it? Or will the savings be used to enable even more tax breaks and corporate welfare for the very wealthy?
Mike - if it does go to the wealthy, then that is indirectly a good thing because it will further light a fire on the rest of America to do somthing about it. So, while we are wondering…let it happen. There is nothing to fear or change in that regard. Win-win.
I think that the people who post having audits done at the state level, have already come to the justifiable conclusion that, after what DOGE has uncovered, it is a slam dunk that this will morph into a permenant agency (I think the same). The focus is less on Elon and his current reports, and more on a transparent auditing body similar to DOGE.
What I believe they would like to see (me included) is the same agency/auditing structure installed at the state and county levels for the same reasons. Yes, it is at the state level, however, it is still worthy of discussion here, If the IRS was a “temporary agency” which morphed into a permenant agency, so can a DOGE-like agency of government efficiency do the same, for even better reasons, given the level of corruption being uncovered against the American People. Elon is a nic guy and very helpful, but the indiscriminate and disruptive auditing mechanism now being used by the current DOGE team, is what we might wish to keep our eyes on, going forward, at every level of government. My two cents on it.
It’s a great idea. The only challenge I see is blue states like mine not wanting it for the same reasons DOGE is being attacked. They’re finding waste and laundromats. If the President tied federal funds to great report cards, this could be huge. How much free money to the states are we all paying???
Ah, a VERY American approach! This might be the ticket (carrot and stick approach). Nice!
Dearest Pat…
Methinks thou protestith too much.
If I was on the DOGE team, and I wasn’t so busy unearthing the mountains of corruption and rot scattered through all of our depts and agencies, I might be tempted to look into what you did for a living, and see if your investment accounts justified your current rantings.
Side Note:
1] The American People voted for Trump and his promise to clean out the currently-dscovered swamp- slime.
2] Trump followed through with his promise and created an outside uncorrupted third-party team that explores the American People’s payment systems and data (who want it done because they voted for it).
3] Now you are screaming and squirming whilst claiming that the legally-created Executive Branch third-party audit team cannot look for the swamp-slime because it has the American People’s personal info included (when they agreed by vote to look at it and remove the corruption)?
Sorry dear…you should have won the election. The American People have spoken and want their records cleaned up and the slime and corruption removed. These corrupt swamp creatures who created this mess have been looking at our personal data for decades, and now you complain that the very audit team that is trying to investigate the corruption in order to remove it, should not have said ability, because, as you say, they will be looking at our personal data? REALLY, DEAR??? Are you SERIOUS??? Your obsessive and compulsive protests in this matter are VERY suspect; and your concerns come a little too late – you lost your soapbox when your Camel Toe lost the election to Trump (who won because he promised us the audits). Enjoy the ‘Great Swamp Purge’ --as Trump goes down in History for orchestrating the Second Great (non-violent) Revolution of America. Tata! Sleep well, dear.
