Ditch/Culvert Improvements

There is a need for improvements to state highway drainage systems in my area of Broomes Island, MD, due to no upkeep or maintenance since the inception of the Chesapeake Bay Protection and Restoration Executive Order and other regulations related to the same. Some sections have not been maintained in excess of 30 years which has caused significant damage to housing foundations throughout the area. Some homes have already been condemned from this and many are soon to follow if something isn’t addressed in the near future. The MVA refuses to make corrections because they cite all of the wetland area involved but continue to dig the accessible ditches deeper which accumulate even more stagnant water amplifying the problem.
Worst case they should be liable and buyout the homeowners before they lose all their investment to this government caused issue.
