I fully support deporting criminal immigrants and those who have recently entered under Biden’s term. However, so many undocumented immigrants grew up here, went through primary education, college, are trying to make something out of themselves as young adults, and have even started to build families here. Those who entered the country unwillingly as a child and have upheld a non-incriminating reputation, should have some kind of protection or an easier pathway to becoming a citizen without the fear of deportation. The way this group of immigrants can be isolated from the others is by proving they came to the US as a minor and have been living here for x amount of years (e.g. 15-20+). This group should be able to prove that they have graduated high school, attended college, done some kind of work, and paid taxes as well while maintaining a criminal-free background. These guidelines should also protect those undocumented immigrants who have proven to be in legitimate relationships with a US citizen. I would like to reiterate, this is to protect those who entered unwillingly as children and have grown up/studied in the US while having a criminal-free background. Those who are criminals and entered the country otherwise, especially under Biden’s term should be deported.
