Each minor child or mentally disabled adult is represented by their parent(s) or legal guardian(s) at the polls.
While it is true that this will amplify the voices of parents and caregivers, it is also true that these parents are best positioned to advocate for the concerns of their children (e.g. regarding the more distant future) who currently lack representation.
At a time when birth rates are falling below replacement this policy would shine a light on the importance of building a world for the next generation.
