Companies that hire delivery drivers should have to make sure a vehicle completes regular monthly inspection for safty to the driver and the people. They (ex. FED EX, AMAZON, USPS, UPS ECT.) should also be mandated to have air conditioned vehicles for the safty and health of the driver. For third party (spark, door dash, uber, lyft ect.)contractors we need some sort of basic pay because over the last four years we have got pay cut after pay cut while paying for increased gas prices and maintenance to our vehicles while they made all the money and cut the basic pay to almost $0.40 a mile. Although there are other jobs this job for me is my whole income because I have four children and it helps me to make money and allows me to work around their schedules but the big businesses like Walmart and fast food chains give us drivers doing all the work the least amount of pay posible.
