Money has been the driving force in campaigns from local office to the presidency and must be extinguished. Those aspiring to political office of any kind shall be subject to debates with their opponents for the purpose of public understanding of the candidate’s positions.
The debate questions are to be prepared in such a way as to force the candidate to state what they believe about the position and what they would do to bring about the policy they envision.
Radio, TV or Web commercials of any kind, either by the candidate themselves or by an outside committee, entity or person, domestic or foreign, shall not be permitted.
The public, be it a small town, city, county, state or national campaign, shall gain their understanding of the candidates qualifications and positions without the disruption and influence of carefully crafted promotions, commercials or ads.
Exposing candidates to this transparency, free of “political machines”, is the only way the American people can make an informed choice without the noise and distortion of ad companies and big money.
