How many people call in sick the day after Super Bowl?
How many people would love the chance to be around the Super Bowl events but a 2 day weekend isn’t enough time?
Make the day after the Super Bowl a National Holiday. Move Presidents Day up 2 weeks and give everyone the day off.
It would turn it into Super Bowl weekend. More people would be inclined to travel, whether to the game or another “destination” city like Vegas or Nola.
This would be better for the local economies as people would be spending and hopefully spending in local shops.
Businesses wouldn’t have to worry about who’s calling in “sick” so productivity would not be impacted or businesses slowed down.
The NFL would turn it into a long weekend of parties, entertainment and money spent by everyone. It would be a massive cash cow.
People that didn’t like football would go about their normal weekend and want even noticed the change.
Overall this would be a Win/Win for everyone.
