on April 30, 2024 Connecticut Inside Investigates ran a story on CHRO that displays their culture. As I read the article, I kept thinking of the mirror image your story has to the one I have. In 2023 I got involved as an advocate in a workman’s compensation issue there in Connecticut through the entire process of this I’ve seen some very flagrant discrimination, harassment, and Falsified documents amongst other things. In this particular matter the claimant reached out to CHRO in 2019 to open a case and actually two cases would be initiated one for wrongful termination and thenone for discrimination. I’ve always thought these places were meant to help people after reading the chro report and seeing what they’ve really done I find it hard to believe that anybody could think they’re more of a problem than that solution it would seem they caused more harm and displayed more discrimination than the employer. In this case they too did multiple reassignments to different investigators it was bounced around for over two years until Tanya Hughes wrote them a letter and said they could actually take the case to court because they dropped the ball and nobody investigated the claim and actually investigated the party that came to them for help. There is a ton of information that was pushed under the rug or Deliberately left out which makes somebody wonder what is going on over there? So, as I started to dig deeper and deeper into this case, I realized it’s much more not just an isolated Incident it’s far greater. So I reached out to Miss Hughes I was given the wrong number three times I was given an answer machine twice I was given the wrong email twice and finally when I found the right email I wrote her twice and finally her assistant reached out to me and said she doesn’t contact people she doesn’t talk to people she’s much too busy in person and I should take my questions concerns and call the other line and they could probably assist me, and I can show you the email. After seeing this it brought my attention to a case where Miss Hughes was actually subpoenaed to testify in court over a workman’s comp issue which CHRO had investigated and wanted to elicit the information directly from her Ms. Huges as she signed off on the claim. Well Miss Hughes threw a fit and she said she is not going to go there it’s beneath her she’s a public figure and she has to do her job the judge reminded her that she is a public figure and that she was appointed there by the people the people were her work and she needed to start acting like it and ordered her to show up for that subpoena. I can’t help but think of the arrogance it takes to be in the community and do absolutely nothing to help the people who come to you when you’re supposed to be there for just that. It’s Disheartening to see the people in the community who are supposed to protect the rights of others do nothing more than trample them themselves. When I got involved with this particular matter in 2023 it reminded me a lot of a case that I had seen and been through personally as it was my Parents case which lasted from 1975 to 1990 it would go down in law books as a monumental case in the Midwest for Title 7 discrimination in 8th Circuit Court of Appeals. This case reminds me of theirs they went to everybody and anybody looking for help and they would be turned away again and again and again only they would be discriminated against in each instant causing more irreversible damage. they may have won the lawsuit, but the fight would be far from over. Over the years I’ve gotten involved in a few different matters as an advocator and it’s always seeming that each case gets a little worse, this particular case I’m contacting you over is something that would set the standards for a new law in how Connecticut Workers Compensation Act should be followed and not be used as a means to destroy a person for getting injured on the job. I have uncovered countless documents that prove corruption within the workers compensation system, CHRO, insurance companies and their TPAs which paints a very disturbing Mona Lisa. My intentions were to bring this to the media’s attention and maybe that of a global news media too. However, after reading your article I’d like to see if you’d be willing to sit down and view some of the documentation, to decide if it’s something Newsworthy. I’m going to enclose some documentation from CHRO, Workers’ compensation and a few pieces from in between As the actions of the people involved in this matter have really crossed the line into criminal. Also, I fully intend to file a complaint on one of the Commissioners who boldly violated claimants’ rights under Connecticut law, Constitutional law, and workers compensation at law. I will also be outlining the fraud, corruption, and erroneous actions in the motion and brief I’m submitting to the courts shortly, which I’ll be happy to give you a copy with exhibits as well, it should be ready by the end of week. Thank you for your time to read this email and any consideration you may give this case to bring it to the public and make more people wear of what really goes on behind closed doors. I look forward to hearing from you regarding this email. Enjoy your day
