Create an American Atomic Energy Association (AAEA) to End IAEA International Atomic Energy Association’s Authority over Domestic Nuclear Energy

This policy is designed to Decouple from counterproductive IAEA regulations. By domestically making our own atomic energy association, we can reassess existing nuclear power and explore commercialization of low risk nuclear energy systems .

The IAEA regulatory body approved dangerous nuclear facilities such as the one in Fukushima that used enriched uranium that risk meltdown if the cooling system has complete failure. Engineers warned of the dangerous design built in Fukushima. They have saltwater cooled reactors that must be in proximity to the ocean and located in an earthquake and tsunami area. it’s design is very similar to the Diablo Canyon powerplant near Monterey California which is due to be decommissioned in 2025.

  2. create an federal inspection agency That has personnel with no financial ties to any energy plants.

Make publicly available SNRs small nuclear reactors. the advancement of safe small nuclear reactors using unenriched uranium have advanced greatly in the past two decades. these SNR’s have been used in several outposts in the Arctic area successfully, but commercial availability has been blocked. as an example, you can have a power plant that could power 25,000 homes for 10 years and it’s the size of a shipping container. It uses unenriched uranium which is very different from enriched. It is cheaper, available domestically, does not require expensive processing, and has a very short half-life with low level radiation that can disposed of safely and easily. The fuel cell itself is only the size of a water headter, and cannot be used to make a dirty bomb.
