Proposed Policy: National Healthcare System
The United States should establish a National Healthcare System funded through progressive taxation, eliminating the need for private insurance companies. This system would guarantee comprehensive healthcare for all residents, covering medical, dental, mental health, and prescription needs without deductibles, copayments, or premiums. By removing profit-driven intermediaries, the system would reduce administrative costs and streamline access to care, allowing doctors and patients to make medical decisions without interference. This approach prioritizes health equity, simplifies care delivery, and ensures every American has access to the care they need, regardless of facility or services being in network and not worry about the cost. People should not go through bankruptcies due to medical debt. NHS is proven to work well in most of countries in the world.
