Costco-style Transparency for Medical Treatment Cost

Medical costs for healthcare treatments are not transparent enough for the American citizen. I am proposing to change that by introducing Costco-style transparency for clinics and patients.

Costco food court is an example that we should emulate. When you walk in there, you can clearly see that a hot dog is $1.50 and that a whole pizza is $9.95. Why can’t we have something similar in healthcare?

We should mandate that every hospital have an area where all the prices of a specific treatment (without insurance) are displayed on a massive billboard similar to the one at Costco. That way, there is no confusion with regards to basic treatment cost.
