Convicted Child Traffickers receive death penalty/life in prison

I agree with what you are saying with one exception. As long as we have corruption in our legal system, backroom deals between lawyers and judges, we can never be sure of the guilt or innocence. This corruption leads me to believe life in prison is the best option.

Some states don’t allow the death penalty

should be the just death penalty.

If we had honest federal law enforcement and prosecutors, I’d fully support much broader use of the death penalty. However, we’ve seen that the DOJ is hyper politicized, and I have a hard time trusting convictions anymore.

Let’s have some accountability first; if a conviction is overturned on appeal, then the prosecutor who secured the first conviction is fired. The success metric for prosecutors should not be conviction rate – that incentivizes the plea bargain, throw the book at people and intimidate them into pleaing out, even if innocent. It also incentivizes going after people who can’t afford legal representation.

If some effective reforms are put in place, then by all means, death penalty for all violent crimes, including child abuse.

Why are we housing people sentenced to life? If they are 100% guilty, no doubt about it then it should be death. I know they are someone’s family but their victim was someone’s family too. Also if someone is convicted of rape etc. they should have RAPIST tattooed across their face so everyone knows to beware

The problem I see is that it has been something that has been going on for ages. Today’s perpetrators are yesterdays victims. I was not sexually abused so I can’t imagine what that does to a personā€˜s mind. I think declaring war on them and saying we should kill them all is the wrong approach, we need to shed light on the situation and make people take responsibility for their actions.

The whole movement should be about understanding the value of a human life and how ritual abuse corrupts it and turns people into monsters.

Awww, why spend the money? Of course, you know what inmates do to kiddy diddlers, right?

Maybe if you’re a foreign national or here illegally, just kill 'em and be done. If you’re here legally, life no parole.

I think that this could be a good policy to enact. From what I remember from my federal government class, people cannot be sentenced to death unless they have actually killed someone, but what you wrote I do agree with. People can be truly evil and anyone who does do anything to a kid should receive the worst types of consequences.

While I agree with the sentiment, we all know very well how often the judicial system is weaponized and manipulated to provide false results. This may lead to innocent people being falsely found guilty and killed. In fact, look into Nick Yarris who spent 22 years in death row before finally having his guilt ruling overturned.

I totally agree with you but there are a couple things we would need to do to make sure that we cover ourselves to ensure that we aren’t executing the wrong person.

There needs to be undoubted evidence relating to the offender and the victim, whether that’s photographic, a video, DNA, etc. something connecting them to the crime biologically or showing that they are without doubt the perpetrator. My fear with this without protections in place would be that the wrong person gets executed.

If our country has stiffer penalties on all violent crime it would reduce the crime. It’s time to actually get tough on crime and you aren’t getting out. This early release crap is bull crap. And I’m not talking petty crime. You rape a kid you should never see the light of day again period.

I very much agree.

This idea that I have is that our government requires the countries we fought and died for erecte prisons and man them . We send any person that gets 1or more years . I think word will get out about conditions and our crime numbers will drop.

Yes as well as pedophiles, molesters and rapist!!!

Believe it or not, it is less expensive than execution.

This current and outgoing administration would be in trouble since they invited lone children from around the world over the border and placed them in the already broken and overwhelmed foster care system, removed DNA testing and gave children to unvetted sponsors and then lost over 325,000 children.

My thought exactly!!! Why spend taxpayer money on scum.

Yes! There is no healing for what is imbedded deep inside these sexual deviants. To prevent other children from being hurt and forever damaged I would be in a favor of automatic life sentences for those charged and convicted of the act.
