Convert public greenspaces to edible resource

There needs to be an initiative to convert non-productive green spaces to organic edible landscapes using low maintenance edible native plants and trees that produce healthful foods for human.

There are plenty of roadside or intersection areas in my state(Arkansas )that could be used for public gardening…we could solve hunger issues with extra food

We need urban gardens, this can give the oportunity and chance for people to learn to grow things and feed their own communities. If urban garden areas are left abandoned, the local governments can offer incentives or school programs to encourage the use of such spaces.
