Continue funding for Ukraine

If negotiations for Ukraine dont sway in a way that benefits Ukraine I believe we as a country that upholds the ideas of freedom and democracy should continue our support for ukraine. Not only would a Russian victory be seen as a massive stain on Americas reputation such a thing could embolden our enemies to make moves on other sovereign nations if they are to perceive us as a weak nation that bends the knee to our enemies. [P.S.A FOR MY FELLOW AMERICAN WHO MAY READ THIS… WE’RE NOT SENDING UKRAINE PAPER MONEY, WE’RE SENDING THEM AID IN THE FORM OF MILITARY EQUIPMENT MADE DECADES AGO CONGRESS ONLY LABELS SAID EQUIPMENT IN DOLLAR AMOUNTS CAUSE IT IS SIMPLER THAN LISTING EVERY PIECE OF EQUIPMENT SENT. MANY AMERICANS ACTUALLY BENEFIT FROM THESE AID PACKAGES IN THE FORM OF JOBS IN AMMO FACTORIES, point being the money that is spent remains within the US]

No! All foreign aid regardless of method must be audited and reevaluated. No american should be homeless, starving, lacking basic neccessities while we offer aid of any sort to a foreign nation, company, group, entity, or NGO. Furthermire, no US corporation, bank, insurance co, auto mfr, etc should receive bailout for their failed business practices (so the heads of companies/corporations can receive bonuses, salaries, or parties), while any American suffers from homelessness, disasters, and lacking basic neccessities!

Did you read my psa? Even if we stopped aid it wouldnt help the homeless or unemployment problem in fact it would one make it worse cause thousands of people would lose their jobs due to being laid off at ammo factories

Most Taxpayers oppose funding foreign governments because it is incredibly unreasonable.
Funding to Ukraine should be done on an individual voluntary basis. Perhaps they can start a “Gofundme”. Sending US taxpayer money to other nations is not only unamerican it should be considered treason. The idea that the money winds up back in the U.S. is also known as money laundering and often winds up in the pockets of corrupt politicians or large corporations…so of course they are going to vote for it. In the end the taxpayer is left unable to pay their own bills. Funding Ukraine is a horrible idea.

Ukraine is not just “getting our old equipment”.

Wrong. Ukraine is the most corrupt country in the world and a money laundering scheme for western governments. Watch “Ukraine on Fire” to learn the history of Ukraine and why Russia is fighting in Ukraine. Not one penny or bullet should go to Ukraine.

This has to be a joke. Ukraine is NOT a democracy. They are one of the most corrupt countries on earth and we should have nothing to do with them.

The people of Crimea and Donbas voted on a referendum to be a part of Russia. THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN! Because of this democratic choice, the government of Ukraine bombed these civilians for 10 years (since 2014). There is absolutely no reason why the US should be supporting this behavior.

You are welcome to voluntarily donate your money and time to the Ukrainian cause, but as for my tax dollars, I want them staying in the USA to help my fellow citizens, or to remain in my pocket, so I can put that money to good use.

NO MORE FOREIGN WARS!

When flying on a commercial airline, passengers are advised to secure their own oxygen masks before assisting others, even before their own spouses or children. While this may seem harsh or selfish, it is rooted in logic and aims to achieve the best possible outcome. The reasoning is simple: one cannot help another if they themselves are incapacitated. Similarly, due to recent political decisions, our country is overextended and strained. While we can and should continue to assist other nations, it is imperative that we prioritize addressing domestic issues first. Failing to do so may compromise our ability to provide meaningful assistance in the future.

Counter-Argument:

While supporting Ukraine is vital to maintaining stability in Europe, it’s time to reconsider how that support is structured. Instead of the U.S. shouldering a disproportionate share of the burden, NATO should take the lead in coordinating and providing aid. This approach would promote a more balanced alliance, where the responsibility and costs are shared fairly among all member nations.

  1. NATO-Driven Aid with Accountability

Rather than having the U.S. supply billions in equipment directly, NATO should establish a centralized aid fund or stockpile that all member countries contribute to. By spreading the responsibility across NATO, the alliance as a whole—not just the U.S.—can respond effectively without straining any single nation’s resources. This would also provide a structured, accountable system for tracking and managing aid, ensuring it’s used strategically.

  1. Promoting Financial Responsibility and Efficiency

If NATO provided support as discounted sales or conditional leases rather than unrestricted aid, it would encourage recipient nations, including Ukraine, to use resources more strategically. By requiring some financial commitment or partnership in return, NATO could ensure that the equipment is treated as a valuable asset and not taken for granted, leading to more efficient use of aid.

  1. Ensuring U.S. Resources Benefit U.S. Citizens

Many Americans feel their tax dollars should prioritize domestic needs. If NATO managed and distributed aid collectively, the U.S. could contribute proportionately without being the primary financial backer. This approach would protect American taxpayer interests, allowing resources to be redirected toward domestic priorities while still supporting European stability through a shared NATO commitment.

  1. Creating Strategic Economic Benefits for Contributors

Instead of aid being viewed as a “gift,” NATO could explore compensatory mechanisms, such as preferential trade agreements or joint economic projects, that provide value back to contributing nations. For instance, if the U.S. and other NATO allies supply equipment, they could receive favorable economic agreements in return, boosting industries at home and ensuring aid serves mutual long-term interests.

  1. Strengthening NATO Unity Through Shared Contributions

By involving all NATO members in aid distribution, the alliance’s unity and collective strength would be enhanced. A centralized fund and stockpile would allow all nations, regardless of size, to contribute in ways that align with their capacities, creating a fairer, more balanced system. This approach reassures smaller nations of NATO’s commitment without disproportionately draining U.S. resources.

  1. Building a NATO-Managed Strategic Stockpile for Quick Response

NATO could maintain a rotational stockpile of essential supplies and equipment contributed by member countries. This centralized reserve would ensure resources are readily available for rapid deployment, reducing the need for individual nations to deplete their own inventories. Such a system would allow NATO to respond swiftly to crises without overburdening any single member and reinforce preparedness across the alliance.

Conclusion:

Supporting Ukraine is an important goal, but it should be pursued through a NATO-led, shared-responsibility model rather than relying predominantly on U.S. aid. This approach would protect U.S. resources, strengthen alliance cohesion, and ensure a fair distribution of responsibility. By focusing on a system of shared contributions and strategic economic partnerships, NATO can support its allies without compromising the priorities and well-being of its member states’ citizens. This balanced model not only safeguards American interests but also reinforces NATO’s role as a unified, prepared alliance.

This is utter BS. Russia is far more corrupt than Ukraine. You’re simply spewing Putin’s propaganda and lies. “Ukraine on Fire” is just Stone’s propaganda for Russia. Stone is a liar, and Yanukovych ousted himself when he ran when he was going to be arrested for the killing he ordered on the Maidan.

That is nothing but Putinist agitprop and lies. Defeating Putin in Ukraine is in the long term interest of teh US, and that includes you. Appeasement never led to anything but war, and what you are pushing will land the US in war again.

That is a substantive argument with reasonable proposals. It is very much different than the Putinist appeasement so often seen, submerged in lies and Putinist propaganda. Putinists would have us be appeasers and abandon Ukraine to Russia’s tender mercies. That would be one of the worst choices the US could make.

One Trump advisor is telling Ukraine they have lost Crimea forever. ION short, Ukraine is not Ukraine because we say it isn’t Ukraine, and rewards the thief. It’s a statement that is beyond stupid.

I totally agreewith you. Plus, how will we ever stop the wars? I feel ifUkraine needs funding to rebuild or repair wartorn areas, then give them a loan. No more funding a war.

Many thanks to all the great Russian warriors that are bringing an end to Ukraine’s corrupt, evil and fraudulently installed government.

We need full investigations into every member of congress that has voted to send money to Ukraine - for organ trafficking, money laundering, treason, sedition and crimes against children
