The House of Representatives is at its capped limit of members, making some representatives responsible for representing over 500,000 people in their area. This isn’t feasible and it makes it impossible to be able to talk to and communicate with your elected officials, usually just getting an interns response in 3-6 months. I linked a Pew Research article that is a bit outdated as it’s from 2018, but I think that shows the issue even more. Simply, we need more Representatives because our population is too large to efficiently look out for the interests of the people with the limits we have now.
