Each community has a football field or larger full of vegetables and maybe nut trees and all sorts of heirloom herbs etc… You can come and pick what you need (there is a sidewalk that runs through each division of plant sections) or if disabled can deliver to you weekly, monthly, daily perhaps. Who will maintain the gardens-maybe prisoners on work release? Also, these gardens can supply schools, hospitals, shelters, anyone with what they order. This will help spread the food supply. Could also have freeze dryers so if you want to preserve and even have a building for classes to learn. The cover is what they use on some of those outdoor swimming pools for all year round use. There is a water tower beside each one and it has a filter. Each community has a school football field, tennis court, volleyball, why not fit along side a community garden as well?
