Commitment to Peace

In order to be firm in our resolve to work towards a peaceful and prosperous world,

1.) no branch of our government is authorized to send funds to any other country for the purpose of aiding that country to purchase weapons.

2.) no branch of the government is authorized to send humanitarian aid to countries currently involved in a conflict until they have an established ceasefire agreement and committed timeframe to reach a peace agreement.

3.) no branch of the government is authorized to deliver arms to any country outside of NATO.

4.) aid to foreign countries should be balanced against aid that is reserved for disasters occurring within our own borders, no more than 50% equivalent to that emergency fund can be designated as aid to foreign countries, for any purpose.

5.) no arms manufacturer can enter into a contract with foreign nations outside of NATO for the sales or distribution of arms.

6.) funding for NATO and agreements made with NATO shall be transparent and matter of public record, voted on through congress, and not attached to other spending or bills.

How about no humanitarian aid, foreign aid, funds, or weapons to anywhere outside the United States?

Weapons to nato countries ensures allies are strong. There are adequate reasons to assist other nations in time of crisis, but, it is insane giving money to countries embroiled in conflict, as it simply gives them means to extend the conflict. It’s also insane that we reserve pennies to help our own people (this hurricane season, for example) while sending billions overseas to countries that are using our money to kill people. The bulk of our money should go to improving our country. Not to financing war. We can have nice things. Would you rather have a high speed rail system, or finance Ukraine in a hopeless war against Russia? Would you rather send money to Israel and Lebanon to kill each other, or spend it on repairing Appalachia? These are real choices that are being made, and it’s OUR tax dollars that are being spent. How do you want your tax dollars spent?

This one thing I would change to this is supporting NATO.

There is no reason to be part of a war alliance that has done nothing but drain us of our hard earned money and bully smaller nations. The intention of NATO as a “self defense” alliance have not come to fruition, instead it’s emboldened NATO members to be AGGRESSORS against other nations and have created more conflict, not stopped conflict.

The eradication of NATO is the only way to end these preemptive forever wars.
