Combat Veterans who served honorably in a warzone should be exempted from ALL federal taxes in perpetuity.
I agree…as a veteran recalled from the IRR to be deployed to Iraq I cam home to a business in shambles. I lost 500K in business revenue and no government agencies would help, except the SBA. They wanted me to put up mu house for collateral…I ended up refinancing my house essentially paying the government to take me from my home, family and business to “draft” me from the IRR. I contacted my federal representatives about programs to help veterans like me that suffered business set backs or went bankrupt due to being deployed. I was told it would not be fair to the taxpayers to use taxpayer money to make us whole again. a few months later they signed the American Relief Act that allowed bankers and corporate executives to collect millions in bonuses using taxpayer money…Go figure…
