Combat Citizens United

Democracy relies on the principle of "one person, one vote," meaning each citizen should have an equal say in choosing representatives and influencing government policy.

Citizens United undermines this principle by allowing corporate and dark money to flow into politics without sufficient regulation. Wealthy corporations and individuals can now spend millions to support or oppose candidates, effectively amplifying their voices far above those of ordinary voters.

This concentration of influence creates a democracy that serves the interests of the wealthy elite rather than the general public, eroding trust in our political institutions.

Because Citizens United is a SC decision and not a law it has to be combatted on many fronts. Laws would need to be passed ensuring transparency/ and ethical over site.
