Bulk mail is pure business. 1st class mail is a total failure. They can’t deliver mail to save their own lives. There are 800,000 USPS employees. They worked to damage the voting process. The mail delivery process is an extraordinary waste of resources. No one receives their social security, government paycheck, or private employer paycheck through the USPS. There is no compelling reason to keep the USPS. There must be an investor somewhere that would buy it.
I agree, USPS is obsolete. We have had six inches of ice plus snow build up for over a week. Even though I was out there hacking away at the ice so the carrier could get to my mail box, they still drove right by and would not deliver. On the other hand you have UPS, FedEx and Amazon delivering right to your door.
After a week I finally went to the Post Office to get my mail. They told me it was on the truck to be delivered. I asked why, since they weren’t delivering it anyway? They said because they have to. What kind of stupidity is that? They are not delivering because they cannot not get close enough to the mailbox , yet they hauled the mail around for six days without delivering it. Needless to say I put a stop on my mail so I could just go down to pick it up.
I also automatically know that if I order something and it is coming USPS that it is going to take an extra three days to a week or more than any of the other carriers to receive it.
That doesn’t even touch the mail in ballot shenanigans they mere a party to.
