During covid, the federal government provided financial incentives to hospitals that used remdesivir. Remdesivir caused liver and kidney damage. It was originally tested as a drug to treat Ebola, but was not approved because over 50% of the patients receiving it died within 28 days (Remdesivir ⋆ Brownstone Institute) How is it that the federal government not only approved its use for covid patients, but actually encouraged its use via incentives?
Any medical product that the government promotes or funds using taxpayer money–including vaccines–should have a thorough and transparent risk-benefit profit that justifies such actions.
