CLEANER COSMETICS: Get Toxins, Hormones, Insects, and Dyes Out of Cosmetics

Every day, women unknowingly apply cosmetics that may contain toxins, hormone disruptors, insect ingredients, and artificial dyes. These ingredients can silently accumulate in the body, potentially leading to serious health issues like hormone imbalances, reproductive problems, allergies, and even chronic illnesses. Despite their common use, the long-term effects of these chemicals on women’s health are not fully understood, making it all the more urgent to act.

Why We Must Act Now

  1. Toxins: Daily exposure to synthetic chemicals and metals builds up in the body, straining organs like the liver and kidneys and possibly contributing to cancer risks.
  2. Hormone Disruptors: Certain chemicals in cosmetics interfere with natural hormone functions, increasing the risks of fertility issues, menstrual irregularities, and hormone-related diseases.
  3. Insect-Derived Ingredients: Ingredients like carmine (from crushed insects) may cause allergies and raise ethical concerns, with plant-based alternatives readily available.
  4. Artificial Dyes: These dyes can irritate sensitive skin and have even been linked to behavioral and health issues (including cancer).

Women deserve safe, clean products that won’t compromise their health over time. It’s time to demand the removal of harmful ingredients and push for safer alternatives in cosmetics.

Add this to an omnibus bill to reduce toxins in our environment. We absorb toxins through our digestive system but more efficiently through our skin, lungs and possibly through radiation exposure (EMFs). Let’s expand the toxin-load reduction act to include transdermal, airborne, Electromagnetic and other energy fields that are found to be toxic.
