Employees who work for elected officials at all levels must be third generation or more citizens of the United States and pass an exam annually on the Constitution of the United States. They must take an oath not to be working with or for any non profit or for profit groups who are attempting to change the Constitution or subvert our laws. This includes all essential and ancillary employees and volunteers. This should include any and all terminology which describes employees of these offices.
This is necessary as we have witnessed the recent attacks on our Country and Constitution. We have also seen Countries such as the UK currently under attack by those attempting to gain elected positions to change laws into those of the Countries they immigrated from or to those aligned with their ancesteral Country. As such this is a matter of National Security to ensure that there is not an infitration of our Government.
Edit 11/30/24 : Possible Merge for people to discuss:
The US Constitution has no requirements for people who work for elected officials, but the only elected official listed in the US Constitution that must be a US citizen is that of President. The guidelines for elected official employees should not more restrictive than that of the elected official. I would agree that anyone working for the government, be it local, state, or federal should be tested on the Constitution annually and disclose previous jobs and any nonprofits that they have worked for and make it public.
Yes, the Constitution addresses the President.
We need policy to address that only third generation citizens should be working/volunteering as support and ancillary for elected officials. It opens up a vulnerability to attack our Country. Government is too large at this time and has too many employees. We have seen in the UK that there are groups intentionally trying to infiltrate political positions to influence the fabric of the Country. It’s a type of an attack that does not use weapons in the traditional sense.
